Inner/socks packed separate), plastic wrappers/bags, pens, sketch pens, markers, footwear, mattress, pillow, paper, books, cardboard, milk packets / tetrapak / shampoo / cleaning solution bottle without residue, toys, single use plastic, Xrays & empty tablet strips. Big items - furniture, wood scrap, construction waste - after approval.

We DO NOT take injections, expired medicine, expired medical instruments, anything soiled with bodily waste / fluids, mercury thermometers, diabetic testing kits, dentures, night guards, invisalign teeth appliances, needles and anything that is potentially life threatening or hazardous to handle.

Waste segregation is the process of separating different kinds of waste so that materials can be separately processed for recycling / recovery. The vast majority of day to day items aren’t biodegradable and need to be recycled appropriately. Segregating these items at source makes recycling easier. Separating wet and dry waste doesn’t contaminate the dry waste and also enables people to compost efficiently.

Implementing 2 bin 1 bag for Reject waste, Wet waste and Dry waste is the best way to carry out source segregation at home.

Wet waste (biodegradable) : kitchen waste, vegetable peels, left-over food.

Yes. Cigarette butts contain heavy plastics that are incredibly toxic for the environment and our water bodies. A single butt can contaminate 5000 litres of water. Considering the fact that we, as a nation, dump 100 billion butts a year the cumulative damage to the environment and water bodies is enormous.

We collect every brand of cigarette butts along with ash, residual paper under butts, packs and tobacco pouches. Please make sure they are completely extinguished before depositing.

Your used beverage cartons like Real Juice, Amul Fresh Cream, Soy Milk or Almond Milk, Good Mylk cartons etc., can be rinsed, collected and dropped off.

The caps and straws can be left in/on. They’ll also be recycled during the recycling process.

Cartons need to be rinsed otherwise have the issue of bad odours, pests, and cause contamination of other cartons. Contaminated cartons cannot be recycled or transformed into new products.

You can recycle your beverage cartons at any one of our public drop points or Dunzo them to our Chennai location.

We send most of the clothes we receive for donations to NGOs and more worn out clothes go for recycling. Clothes like western wear which cannot be donated or are too new to be recycled are refurbished and given a second life through The Rebirth thrift store.
